The Wheat, Barley and Hops sprout and grow quickly and easily. Hops produces small, green, pinecone-like 'flowers' with a pleasant scent. Barley is an important grain used in many cereals and bread products, and can regulate blood sugar levels for up to ten hours after consumption. Wheat is the second most-produced food in the world.

The complete kit contains decorative gravel, and everything else needed for several harvests. (Although this kit is alternatively called a "Beer Garden" kit, the plants are interesting in themselves as explained above; also, parents can choose not to affix the included beer-themed stickers to the terrarium).
