It is amazing that you can just add water and these creatures come to life. These Triops are larger than Sea Monkeys. They are fun to watch.

Gave this to my 6 year old for his birthday... Was he excited! Also had purchased additional eggs for more fun.... Alas,we tried 3 times following directions specifically and we failed to hatch anything.. I was more upset than him because I was desperate to make his present Great. We finally had to let the effort go and move on. He had really wanted a goldfish for his birthday but I got this triop thing instead....Thought it would be easy... Luckily a few months later he won some goldfish at a carnival and they are easy to tend to... I do not recommend this...

It's great to watch these creatures grow...our last triop,Sharky,died today...my husband and I are sad. It's sounds funny,but we didn't think that a water bug could be so interesting and even become so important for us.
