in the end,i ended up boiling our paper on the stove because the directions (let soak for at least 2 hours in warm water) didnt work out very well. the blender doesnt work very well either so we ended up using our kitchen aid blender to create the soupy consistency the directions ask for. Then,when we tried to tighten the plates together to squeeze out the excess moisture and flatten,the plastic screw broke after one turn. the mesh screen and shapes work well.

My girls got this kit for Christmas,and what a pain! I was very frustrating for me,imagine how it would be for 8 yr old girls. This will probably end up in the trash!

The Mixer is very cumbersome to use .The top is very hard to align with the blade.It would be good if they had a simple mechanism to make a paste out of the paper,After lots of struggle I just used my mixer to make the paste.
