We couldn't get the light to work on this one. The company sent us a replacement and that one ended up working, but the first one didn't. Son is having fun with the slides and collecting bugs in the vials, though.

Complete waste of money. Poorly made, flimsy, anything above medium power is unusable. They say die cast metal but they mean only the main body frame everything else is cheap plastic garbage. Spatula and scalpel are not metal either. The nose piece has too much play in the gearing and it moves in and out when you rotate the focus knob causing you to have to realign the slide again. The rotary for the lenses is plastic and has a poor fit,it doesn't lock in correctly when you shift powers, you have to finesse it to align correctly. The so called precision glass optics have impurities or flaws in them. The wall projector is a joke. Room has to be totally dark and all you get is blurry unusable mess. They charge top dollar for something that is no better than what you'd find at Toys R Us for one third the price.Avoid this item and look elsewhere.
