My son loved this general science kit. It has several activities and covers a broad range of topics.

My daughter especially liked growing the crystals. This kit covers a broad subject area and I think it is great so that you can see what interests your kid. Next year,I will get another science kit from this site that is more specific to a subject based on her interests.

Does not live up to its billing! First,no ten yr old is going to understand the written instructions without lots of help. Second,the containers for the sand and crystal mixes were just plastic bags,and were already torn on arrival (a mess to clean up) No jars are provided for leftover sand,etc. Very cheap construction thru-out. Better to focus on one or two quality experiments than try to cover so many different ones and do them all poorly!
