Featuring six unique micro-robotic creatures, the HEXBUG Bug Kit gives kids a sampling of each one of the larger sized creatures from Innovation First Robotics. While fostering a fascination with the science behind robotics, these miniature wonders of engineering include specimen with infrared vision, 7-way remote control movement, and various sensory induced reactions. While two of the creatures are under children’s full control via the included remotes, others have one or more sensory reactions. One HEXBUG reacts to the sound of clapping while another changes directions when it contacts an object. Each of the unusual movements of the HEXBUGs in this exclusive Discover This HEXBUG bundle are sure to keep children enthralled as they play and analyze the differences of each one.
The HEXBUG Bug Kit Includes the Following Unique Robotic Specimen:
The HEXBUG Ant: The super-speedy HEXBUG Ant delights children as it scampers quickly across the floor. Controlled by touch sensors on the front and back of it, the Ant immediately changes direction when it encounters an obstacle, making it exciting to watch and fun for children to attempt to contain.
The HEXBUG Original: As the bug that started the craze in micro-robotic creatures, the HEXBUG Original continues to be popular on children’s wish lists. Featuring two forms of sensory interaction, the Original HEXBUG moves forward when it hears sounds such as claps. If it encounters an obstacle, then it is able to back up and move in a different direction.
The HEXBUG Crab: In its attempt to hide from light, the shy HEXBUG Crab walks sideways on its eight legs in search of shelter. While using very crab-like movement, this miniature robotic creature reacts to light and sound. It will amaze children with its ability to change direction at their command when they make a loud noise.
The HEXBUG Spider: An included infrared remote gives children full control over the six-legged arachnid-style movement of the HEXBUG Spider. It has a 360 degree rotating head, while its feet have rubber pads to prevent slipping as children send the Spider all over the house.
The HEXBUG Inchworm: Featuring unique 7-way steering, the HEXBUG Inchworm allows kids to completely control its unusual sideways movements. The infrared remote control features forward, backward, left, and right movement, so children can use the Inchworm on any hard surface for some micro-robotic fun.
The HEXBUG Larva: As the newest addition to the HEXBUG family, the Larva brings some exciting new robotic features. Its segmented style body makes its motion look like a slimy grub creeping across the floor. When the Larva’s infrared sensor identifies an object in the way, the bug changes direction to avoid ever touching it.
