Please do not buy this kit! Not unless you want to watch a hermit crab die of asphyxiation! They need humidity to survive as they have GILLS to breathe even though they are land hermit crabs! Hermit crabs require de-clorinated water to drink as well as de-clorinated water with salt added to bathe in. This is not a proper hermit crab environment by any means!

It seems large enough for two smallish crabs,but you also have to be able to put in the habitat 3 shells PER crab,they have to be able to choose. Also the sand provided doesn't lay a deep enough floor for the crabs to burrow. Crabs need two water dishes,one for fresh water and one of salt water. There isn't really much for the crabs to climb on in this tank and it would be hard to heat to the proper temp and keep proper humidity. Rather than this thing,opt for a 5 gal. tank and screen top,enough bedding (not just plain sand) to make at least 2 inch deep floor,two large deepish water bowls,aquarium water dechlorinator and aquarium salt,climbing stuff,a hut and a food bowl and a heater...

I have seen better hermit crag kits to buy. You might as well got to a pet store insted of this trash. It last less then a week? What is this thing that these people are trying to buy.

I agree with the above: this is not a good thing to buy! The product isn't even llarge enough for 1 hermit crab! They need salt water and a heater. Please research how to care for herms if you want one! Thanks!
