DESCRIPTION

We have yet to see a kid who doesn't want to build and erupt their own volcano - and eager youngsters can do just that with this kit! They'll start by molding the volcano with a quick-set compound, leaving it overnight to dry. Once the volcanic mountain is dry, just add the eruption tablets to club soda you provide, and watch the red 'lava' ooze forth!

top and bottom volcano molds
32 oz. volcano-making compound
stabilizing stand
30 eruption tablets (enough for 6 eruptions)
measuring cup

The detailed, illustrated informational booklet helps kids study the differences between six types of volcanoes, and describes plate tectonics.

This item disappoints. We followed the instructions exactly and all that came out was a weak,light-pink fizzle. Nothing like the picture on the box.

My son loved this volcano science kit. It is not spectacular,but it was very appropriate for his age and safe. I looked up a few additional articles on volcanoes to supplement his learning.
