I have had 2 of these now,and both motors broke. I don't recommend this product.

The motor burned out after 5 mins,we received replacement motor from Learning Resources,but that one was short lived as well.

The product is great for about five minutes. The teeth on the plastic gears within the motor housing shear off after a few minutes of use. We too ordered a replacement,instructed our son only to play on the hardwood (thinking the friction of going across carpet contributed to the gear shearing),but ended up with the same result...a disappointed little boy with an expensive toy that doesn't work as it is supposed to. You can still build the robot and that certainly has value,but there are many types of building toys out there for less money if all you are looking to do is build. I suggest that anyone interested in this product keep looking.

I think ours lasted a few months before the motor burned out,definitely not worth what we paid for it. Tried to get a second motor from Learning Resources,but was transferred and transferred and put on hold for over 20 minutes,so I hung up. Also don't recommend this product. Why can't companies actually make good quality products that last anymore? I guess just more junk for the landfills.
