DESCRIPTION

This is a fabulous Stirling Engine kit. Ready to assemble. You will need a few common hand tools and supplies (epoxy or silicone adhesive, superglue, 8mm socket, needle nose pliers, drill bit to ream out the bearings). Once you have everything lined up, you can start making this incredible engine. This engine needs only a 40 degree differential (either up or down) to run. So imagine an engine running off your coffee cup or your bowl of ice cream.

Perfect for science fair experiments. One science fair winner created a yummy experiment running the engine over ice cream, then add hot fudge and watch the engine slow down and run the other direction. It runs about 250 rpm on hot coffee or 100 rpm on ice.
