Blasting Off With Erupting volcanoes

Ms. Frizzle and her students are taking your young scientist on another wild ride! This time the field trip with take the bus-mates into the belly of a volcano as your child learns everything he or she would like to know about volcanoes. Not only will your child be able to decorate his or her own volcano, but prepare to see a priceless expression as a simple and safe chemical reaction causes the volcano to explode!

While learning about layers of the Earth, volcanic shapes, and how tectonic plate movement causes volcanic formations, your child will use hands-on experiments to create the ultimate lava mixture. As part of the fun, he or she will learn about interactions of acids and bases and how to form hypotheses as part of the scientific process.
