DESCRIPTION

Antquarium is the original ant habitat created for zero gravity. Developed for a NASA space shuttle mission in 2000 to study animal behavior in space, its amazing non-toxic gel is both a home and food for ants (the gel meets ASTM standards and is safe for kids). What's more, the blue gel's transparency makes watching the ants digging their network of tunnels easy.

Kit includes ants booster, 4 special lenses, starter stick, as well as instructions for ordering ants by mail (additional postage and handling required). The Antquarium is 5.25" tall x 6.75" long x 1.25" deep and is made of sturdy plastic. Fits in your hand, on your desk or bookshelf. A fascinating and fun item.

This beautiful ant habitat is slightly rounded.. NOTE: The gel is made with natural ingredients and with alimentary coloring agent. Occasionally, the gel can go very slightly moldy, as it is naturally produced, free from chemical agents. Once the mold is removed, the antquarium will continue to function perfectly. My grandkids got this as a Christmas presetn,but the adults have enjoyed it as much as the kids. It is very interesting to see the tunnels and guess how long it takes the ants to make them.
